Yasemin Aker was born in Ankara, Turkey. After graduating from The Bilkent Preparatory School, she enrolled at the University of Surrey in London where she graduated with High Honors. She completed her Masters in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Massachusetts and is a current member of both the American and Turkish Psychological Associations.
